Weblanda gives you the software to run an online shop. The shop, the products and the promises you make to your customers are yours. This page explains where our responsibility ends and yours begins.
Weblanda is operated by Weblake Technologies, based in Lagos, Nigeria. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Weblanda" mean Weblake Technologies. "You" means the person or business using Weblanda.
By creating an account or using any part of weblanda.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Weblanda offers two things:
A build starts when you pay the deposit shown on the package and we have confirmed your brief with you in writing. The delivery time stated on the package runs from that confirmation, not from the payment, and it pauses whenever we are waiting on content, feedback or approval from you.
The balance is due on delivery. We host the finished site for one year at no extra cost. These sites do not come with a dashboard you edit yourself — later changes are agreed separately, and if you need to edit your own content then Instant Shop is the product that does that.
A scoping session buys a call, a written scope and a fixed price valid for 30 days. It does not oblige either of us to go ahead with the build, and it does not guarantee we take the job on. If we do, the fee comes off the build price in full.
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for everything done through your Weblanda account. Tell us at support@weblanda.com if you believe someone else has gained access.
You must be at least 18 years old, and if you are setting up a shop for a business you must be authorised to act for that business.
This is the most important thing on this page, so it is stated plainly.
When a shopper buys something from a shop built on Weblanda, the sale is between that shopper and the shop owner. It is not a sale by Weblanda. We provide the software the shop runs on and nothing more. We do not own, stock, inspect, handle or dispatch any product sold through the service.
Accordingly, the shop owner alone is responsible for:
If you are a shopper with a problem about something you bought, please contact the shop you bought it from. We can help you reach them, but we cannot refund, replace or deliver an order on their behalf.
Payments are processed by Paystack. Each shop is connected to its own Paystack subaccount, which means a customer's payment settles directly to the shop owner's own bank account. Weblanda does not hold your sales revenue at any point.
You must give accurate bank details. Payments settle on Paystack's schedule, not ours, and we cannot speed up, reverse or recover a settlement. Chargebacks, disputes and any fees arising from them are between you, your customer and Paystack.
We do not currently take a commission on your sales. If that ever changes we will tell you before it applies to you.
Where a shop offers courier delivery, the delivery charge shown at checkout is collected together with the order and used to book the shipment. Couriers are independent companies. We are not responsible for a courier's timing, handling, loss or damage, and any claim is subject to that courier's own terms.
Where a shop sets its own delivery prices or offers collection, the arrangement is entirely between the shop and its customer.
Refunds are covered on our Refunds page.
We may change our prices. Any change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Some features are marked on our pricing page as not yet available. Those are our current intentions, not promises with a date attached, and you should choose a plan based on what it does today. We will not charge you extra when one of them arrives on a plan you already pay for.
You may not use Weblanda to sell or promote:
You also may not:
We may suspend or close a shop that breaks these terms, is being used fraudulently, or exposes us or our other users to legal risk. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first. Where the risk is serious, we may act immediately.
You can close your account at any time by contacting support. On closure, your shop stops serving and we delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your products, photographs, logo and shop text remain yours. You give us permission to host, display and reproduce them only so far as is needed to run your shop and to show it to your customers. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload.
The Weblanda name, the software itself and its design remain ours.
We work to keep Weblanda running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Parts of the service depend on other companies, including Vercel, Supabase, Paystack, Google and delivery partners, and an outage at any of them can affect your shop.
We recommend keeping your own record of your products and customers.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Weblanda is provided "as is". We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss.
Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use Weblanda after that means you accept the change.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before going to court, please write to us. Most problems are quicker to fix by email than by lawyers.
