Deleting a product
What happens when you delete something, and how to get it back.
Deleting a product does not remove it. It goes to your trash, and you can put it back.
You will find the trash from your Products page — the button next to "Add product".
Why it works this way
Deleting used to be final. One tap on a phone, next to the Edit button, and the product was gone along with its sizes, its colours, its reviews and its stock records. There was no way back and no warning worth the name.
Now that tap moves it out of your shop and into the trash. Shoppers stop seeing it straight away, it stops counting against your plan's product limit, and everything attached to it stays attached.
Putting something back
Open the trash, find it, and press Restore. It returns to your shop exactly as it was — same price, same sizes and colours, same reviews, same stock.
One thing can stop a restore: your plan's product limit. If your shop is already full, there is no room to put anything back. Delete something you no longer want, or move up a plan, and try again. If you restore several at once and only some fit, the ones that fit come back and the rest stay in the trash waiting.
Deleting for good
Inside the trash you can delete the ones you have selected, or empty the whole thing.
That one is final. The product goes, and so do its sizes and colours, its reviews and its stock records. We ask you to confirm first, and the question names how many you are about to remove.
Your orders are safe either way. Every order keeps its own copy of what was bought — the name, the option and the price as they were on the day. Deleting a product never changes a customer's order or your sales history.
How long things stay
As long as you like. Nothing is emptied on a timer. The trash is yours to clear when you want to.
